Researching your topic

Once you have decided on your topic and your teacher has approved it the next step is to gather the information you will need to write your report.

You are required to get information from a range and variety of sources. This means that you cannot just use websites, although it is easy to understand why most of your sources are likely to be websites.

Some topics are easier to find information on than others. I would consider a good range to be at least 7 sources.

Send letters to companies

Books

Magazines and journals, e.g. New Scientist

Talk to people who work for companies, i.e. interview

Videos, e.g. on Youtube, iPlayer

Journals

Pamphlets

Surveys
