Have You Remembered ?
In your Open-Book paper report, have you remembered
to:
(a)
produce a report which
is about 1000 words long?
(b)
include an “answer” to
ALL the bullet-pointed “questions”?
(c)
write (largely) in complete sentences, use correct grammar
and spelling,
(d)
use correct and appropriate scientific and technical terms?
(e)
include chemical (formulae) equations for as many reactions as possible?
(f)
include diagrams / pictures / tables / charts to illustrate your account
AND
link them to the text?
(g)
include a word count as instructed (a separate count on each page) and
number
your pages?
(h)
add a list of articles, books, web sites which you have consulted in
order
to write your account?
(i)
include in your list of references the two articles in the paper?
(j)
realise that the TWO Salters
books (Storylines and Chemical Ideas) count
as ONE reference, so that you need
to include at least one other source in
(k)
include in your book and journal references the name(s) of the author(s),
section or chapter title and page numbers, and in your web site
references, the
name of the owner or distributor of the site, the URL and a description
of the pages you consulted?
(l) annotate
your text, showing where a particular source had been consulted?
(m) keep
your Summary within the 50-word limit?
(n)
include in your Summary four chemical points?
(A reasonable starting point would be to select four “pieces of
chemistry” which you have learned, or
which has been reinforced in your mind, by reading the articles.)
